Victorian Ephemera Printables

Free Victorian Ephemera

The illustrations on these free printable ephemera sheets are from vintage postcards. The images are of ladies wearing beautiful Victorian dresses. While the postcards are more than a hundred years old, I feel like they have a modern vibe. I feel the same about these Grecian postcard printables. I suppose fashion is cyclical.

Scroll down and find two different collage sheets. The first is made up of 2.5” x 3.5” ATC-sized images you could use as journal cards, gift tags, etc. The second ephemera sheet is composed of smaller 1.5” x 2.5” images which would make nice accents in a junk journal or scrapbook layout.

If you like these, you’ll also want to check out the Victorian category in my library of free printables.

These vintage illustrations of women in Victorian dresses can add an old-fashioned and charming vibe to your junk journal or art journal. Start by considering the cover page. One of the larger vintage illustrations could be a fun introduction to your journal. Embellish it with tactile elements like lace or ribbons for an extra touch of elegance.

For other pages, mix the vintage illustrations with other ephemera such as old letters or vintage advertisements. Layer them creatively to form visually compelling compositions that evoke the essence of the Victorian era. These collage pages can become backdrops for your journal entries.

These images can be the focal points of your journal spreads. Build around them with decorative borders, handwritten text, or quotes to create cohesive and visually appealing layouts that draw the viewer's eye. Experiment with interactive elements by incorporating vintage illustrations into flip-out panels, pockets, or envelopes. Hide journaling prompts or secret messages within these interactive features, adding an element of surprise and discovery to your journal.

Themed pages offer another avenue for creative exploration. Use one of the illustrations as inspiration to build a themed spread around it, incorporating related elements such as washi tapes, pressed flowers, or botanical illustrations to enhance the overall aesthetic.

Incorporating vintage illustrations like these into your junk journal or art journal offers endless opportunities for creative expression. Either as standalone features or integrated into larger compositions, these illustrations add depth, nostalgia, and a touch of Victorian elegance to your journaling experience.

Add this free vintage ephemera to your supplies for art journaling, junk journaling, bullet journaling, collage, artist trading cards (ATCs), scrapbooking and other mixed media artwork and crafts.
