Edward's Botanical Register is a renowned botanical publication popular in the 19th century. The purpose of the register was to showcase and describe newly discovered or cultivated plant species, primarily ornamental plants, and flowers.
Each edition of Edward's Botanical Register typically featured around thirty hand-colored plates depicting various plant species. The plates were accompanied by detailed descriptions, taxonomic information, and cultivation tips. The publication aimed to educate and inspire botanists, horticulturists, and garden enthusiasts.
Edward's Botanical Register played a significant role in promoting the discovery and cultivation of exotic plants from around the world. It featured species from diverse geographical regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Many of the plants showcased in the publication were previously unknown or rare in cultivation.
I hope you are able to use these collage sheets as inspiration in your art journaling, junk journaling, bullet journaling, collage, artist trading cards (ATCs), scrapbooking, and other mixed media artwork.
