Exotic Butterflies & Moths Collage Sheets

Butterflies and moths are the main attraction on these free printable collage sheets. I almost neglected to include ‘moths’ in the title, and in fact, I left it out in the graphic above. The title page of the book they came from was in both Dutch and French. I was able to pick out “Papillons Exotiques,” or “Exotic Butterflies.” I was ready to run with that title until I examined the bugs and realized that there were also moths. The feathery antennae on some are what tipped me off. The moths that frequent my yard, and occasionally my house, are generally just tan in color. I often forget how beautiful moths can be.
These colorful plates date back to the late 1770s/early 1780s. I might have gone a little overboard with the collage sheets, but there were so many amazing illustrations that I didn’t want to leave out. I made four in total - 2” x 3” journal cards, 2.5” x 4.25” journal cards, gift tags, and 3.5” x 2” journal cards. Make sure you scroll all the way down to survey your options.
Use these collage sheets for art journaling, junk journaling, bullet journaling, collage, artist trading cards (ATCs), scrapbooking and other mixed media artwork and crafts.
I couldn’t resist doing a collage sheet of gift tags. They are great for art journaling and junk journaling, but would also be very pretty attached to a present.
