Nymphs & Cherubs Valentine Ephemera Sheets
I thought the nymph and cherub illustrations on this batch of free printable ephemera sheets were quite lovely. They were a change of pace from all of the cartoony valentines I’ve been coming across. Don’t get me wrong, I love the bright colors in the cute kids valentines, but it’s nice to have some different options. These images are from vintage Valentine’s Day greeting cards and postcards from the early 1900s.
Scroll all the way down, and you’ll find a sheet cards that are approximately 2.5” x 4.25” and a sheet of cards that are approximately 2” x 3.”

A nymph is a mythological creature in ancient Greek and Roman mythology, typically depicted as a beautiful female spirit associated with nature, such as forests, rivers, springs, or mountains. Nymphs were believed to inhabit certain locations and were associated with specific natural phenomena. They were often depicted as immortal and were said to have the power to help or harm humans who crossed their path.
A cherub is a type of angelic being in Abrahamic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. They are typically depicted as chubby, winged infants or young children, and are associated with love, joy, and innocence. In the Bible, cherubim are portrayed as powerful celestial beings responsible for guarding the Garden of Eden and other sacred places. They are also depicted in religious art and architecture, often as decorative elements on furniture, buildings, and other objects. In popular culture, cherubs are often portrayed as cute, chubby, winged babies with bows and arrows, symbolizing love and Cupid.
